About Katy A fourth generation Californian , I began my real estate career in San Francisco in 1974. Thus, began a 30+ year career that has been rewarding and enjoyable. I graduated from UC Berkeley and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. I moved to the Westside of Los Angeles in 1979 where I earned my CA Real Estate Broker’s license and have worked ever since. I especially enjoy working in the Santa Monica, Brentwood and Pacific Palisades communities, and thrive on meeting and working with a diversity of people from all walks of life. As a resident of Pacific Palisades, my husband Peter and I remain active members of our community. Volunteer work is a key part of my life. I have served the children, environment and religious community as a part of CHIPS, the Pacific Palisades Jr. Women’s Club, St Matthews Church, Meals on Wheels and the Jr. League. Sharing my love of the community and way of life with my clients in conjunction with finding them a place to live is exciting and rewarding. Many times a sense of humor and being a creative problem solver has enabled me to balance work, family and service to others for over 30 years, while maintaining a successful real estate career. Weekly, I cross paths with a client I’ve worked with who asks me, “What’s going on in the real estate market,” or share with me, with pride what improvements they’ve made to the home I’ve sold them. On many occasions I have had the great pleasure of working with a former client for a second or third time when they want to purchase either a larger or smaller home. A high percentage of my transactions are derived from repeat business and client referrals. I value this as the biggest compliment a realtor can receive. It means I am not only a competent real estate agent, but an honest, caring and supportive agent as well. The bottom line and the honor for which I am most proud is that I have been able to help more than 275 families find the home of their dreams during my career here in the Westside of Los Angeles. |
